About the event
The Awards are made every five years. The process in 2020 was interrupted by Covid so it moved to 2021. We hold an Award ceremony at a suitably prestigious venue, which is attended by sponsors, the Member of Parliament for Chester, our partners and those whose nominations have been successful and to whom Awards will be made.
In November 2021 we held a very successful Award Ceremony at Chester Racecourse at which about 130 people celebrated good design, conservation and architecture and at which the Awards were presented.
Who are we
The Cheshire West Design Awards are led and managed by a multi disciplinary Steering Committee which is drawn from across the region. The membership of the Steering Committee consists of a mixture of volunteers with relevant backgrounds and representatives of Cheshire West and Chester Council.
